About Rettungsdienst-Kooperation in Schleswig-Holstein (RKiSH) gGmbH
Rettungsdienst-Kooperation in Schleswig-Holstein (RKiSH) gGmbH was founded in 2005 as an association of emergency medical services in the districts of Dithmarschen, Pinneberg, Rendsburg-Eckernförde, Segeberg, and Steinburg. RKiSH provides emergency rescue services, intensive care transport, and patient transport. It employs 1,400 staff members across 43 ambulance stations, two administrative locations, and the RKiSH Academy. The emergency response teams can reach any emergency location within their service area in twelve minutes.
The Challenge
Prior to the implementation of evaexam, recruitment tests for applicants were conducted on paper and evaluated manually, which was both time-consuming and labor-intensive. Due to the pandemic, the legally required annual professional development for paramedics had to be transitioned from in-person to online exams. Furthermore, the training programs for paramedics required an efficient and flexible examination solution.
The Solution
Since 2019, RKiSH has successfully utilized evaexam to digitize and automate various examination and evaluation processes. Recruitment tests are now conducted online, eliminating the need for manual evaluation and freeing up valuable time for in-person interactions on site. The annual professional development sessions and state paramedic exams have also transitioned to online testing, supported by the proctoring provider Proctorio. This transition allows for flexible and efficient exam administration, regardless of the participants’ location.
Results of the Collaboration
evaexam has enabled RKiSH to significantly optimize and increase the flexibility of its evaluation processes. Over 1,000 exams are now conducted online each year, eliminating the effort required for printing, collecting, and scanning exam papers. Using evaexam also provides valuable statistical insights and enables more efficient assessment and analysis. The intuitive interface and location-independent access to the software are particularly beneficial for RKiSH’s decentralized structure.
What the Customer Says About the Collaboration
>>
In the area of recruitment, we switched the written part of the selection process to automation with evaexam in 2020. As part of pandemic-related adjustments, the process was digitized. A return to paper-based procedures is not planned.
