German Police University (Deutsche Hochschule der Polizei)
With evasys for Efficient Evaluation – Quality and Comparability for DHPol
Implemented Solutions:
The German Police University (Deutsche Hochschule der Polizei – DHPol) was established in 2006 by a special law of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and is supported by the interior ministries and senators of the federal states and the federal government. The university is a specialized institution with university status and offers the two-year master’s program “Public Administration – Police Management.” With approximately 400 students in the 2018/2019 academic year, DHPol is committed to continuously developing and ensuring the quality of its programs.
The Challenge
Before the introduction of evasys, DHPol faced several challenges: the evaluation processes were decentralized and non-standardized, leading to a lack of data comparability. Surveys were conducted and evaluated manually, resulting in high resource demands and low data quality. The university needed a centralized evaluation system that meets the requirements for data protection and quality assurance.
The Solution
With the introduction of evasys, DHPol was able to implement a centralized and standardized evaluation system. The software is used for various surveys, including student module evaluations, instructor surveys, evaluations of continuing education offerings, and surveys on the quality of catering services. Surveys are conducted both online and on paper and are centrally managed by the “Department II for University and Quality Development.” The use of evasys enables efficient data collection and analysis as well as the creation of personalized evaluation reports.
Results of the Collaboration
By using evasys, DHPol has achieved significant improvements in its evaluation processes. The standardization and centralization of surveys led to higher data quality and comparability. Paper-based and online surveys allowed for timely evaluations and efficient administration. Annually, between 3,500 and 4,200 questionnaires are evaluated. The introduction of profile line comparisons enabled anonymized instructor comparisons and comparative analyses between different academic years.
What the customer says about the collaboration
>>
We are very satisfied with evasys. Particularly gratifying is that the software has eliminated isolated solutions for evaluation and established a central administration of the survey situation, based on actual comparability of the data.
