The new evaexam interface: more modern and user-friendly!
Since a few weeks the evaexam version 8.2 has been released and is available for you with numerous new features and added values, especially around the field of online exams. Since this release, the work on evaexam version 9.0 is already in full swing.
With version 9.0 you can look forward to a new, fresh and modernized evaexam interface. The direction we are taking here certainly already become apparent to you in version 8.2: The new online template with its fresh look, the tidy display and the large control elements already shows where we are headed: brighter, friendlier, tidier, more modern, more responsive and more user-friendly – that’s the maxim.
While “only” the so-called frontend users, i.e. the examinees, were able to enjoy a modernized display, you as an evaexam administrator or instructor will also be able to enjoy a new interface in the future.
The collapsible and expandable side menu provides more space in the menu area and better utilization of the screen. Elements and texts in the menu area are arranged larger and more user-friendly. Less frequently used information is hidden to make the interfaces clearer. This has significantly shortened scroll paths and made it easier to navigate the system.
But the surface is only the top of the iceberg – as so often, most of the work takes place under water, in secret. Because just as it was time to modernize the user interface, it was also time to put the evaexam code on a new track to keep the software stable, maintainable and capable for the future in the long run. New technologies and new frameworks provide modernity even where you can’t see it or only to a limited extent.
